QSL CARD FRONT SIDE

On this page you may view our newly designed BARC QSL card. Designed in May 2008. We have Ray, VE3RXM to thank for the work on the design of the card and the photos. For those of you who may not be aware of what a QSL card is let me explain. When an amateur makes contact with another amateur, anywhere in the world, he/she may exchange a confirmation card, about the size of a post card, with the other amateur. This card is usually designed by the individual sending it and most likely will contain information about him/her and his/her station. This post card size confirmation card is known as a QSL card. In the "Q" signals used on Amateur Radio an operator would request this confirmation card or confirmation of their contact by saying "Please QSL" to the other operator. Sending QSL cards is strictly a voluntary part of the hobby. Many amateurs collect these cards and upon request are happy to display their cards from all over the world. You might call it their scrapbook or history of their life on amateur radio.
